Writing can be an obsession, a personal release, a pleasure, a chore, or whatever you see it as for yourself. Most writers want to have some recognition of their writing or some degree of success, which translates into public appreciation.

So, if it’s beyond the little bit of recognition many receive and you want to jump ahead, you need to use the secret sauce. Over 2700 books are published every day, and most will fall by the wayside.

Waiting to be recognized is like waiting for your hair to turn miraculously blonde overnight by itself (for a woman) or a wonderous six-pack for men. It isn’t going to happen. You are falling into the chasms created by thousands of writers pushing their work out each day, and you might as well be a bit of paper in a shredder — you are lost.
