Thank you for your thoughtful note. It says it all. I’m sorry I had to write this article, but it was imperative and I wrote with a great degree of sadness for our country.

Yes, it is heartbreaking and the wounds will not heal for generations to come. This will become a part of tainted American history under a government whose First Lady wore a jacket that said it all, “I really don’t care. Do you?” It is cold, callous and ignorant in its grab for a “me, me, me” approach and where our vulnerable and our children are collateral damage.
