So your point is that our lexicon is inadequate for that which is “unknowable” or “unknown?” I suppose you might give a thought that we haven’t yet discovered all there is to know about things we assume are living (plants and animals) or which we can’t categorize into living or dead (viruses). We are still learning and we continue to question how we frame our questions and the new language that may arise out of our questioning. I can’t dismiss the current thinking about plant life as misguided, naive or even dismiss it out of hand. I’ll wait and see how it goes.
