Stress builds up, and having outlets to decompress is vital to our mental and physical health. How do JLo and ARod count? They hit the “nonsense” release valve.

Life is stressful in both the happy things that come into our circle and the downers that require our attention. But we are not the victims of life or stress, and that is where we can make a major difference in our lives. Calculate your stress level, if you’d like with a well-known checklist, the Holmes-Rahe Stress Scale.

Watching endless news on TV or the internet can be quite depressing, and when it comes to climate change, how do we feel? Hopeless? The writer of a recent article on that topic wrote what many of us might be feeling.

I have trouble getting through climate stories anymore; each one reads like a case of senseless, bloody murder. I can’t encounter any novel weather patterns or curious wildlife antics without thinking the shift toward doom has begun.

When we’re each trying to do what we can to turn climate change away from the “doom” clock reading, it may help to decide to remain a bit ignorant; hiding in the air-headed media shows dealing in nonsense. Nonsense to the rescue!
