As a psychologist with over 30 years experience, some of it working on forensics units with people who have committed murder, I see the tangled web that extends beyond guns. Yes, my dad hunted, too, and we lived in an urban area where no one ever thought of having a gun. There needs to be an emphasis on human dignity, kindness and equality, but controls on military-grade weapons would be a good start, if only the pols would stop taking lobbyist money.
